We often find some of life’s greatest pleasures in the simpler things, and of course this may look different for each of you, and in your own season. Around here it’s the season for snuggling down into a warm blanket, reading and sipping on hot cocoa and nibbling on some delicious home baked treat.
In late October during my youngest’s language arts lesson – which incorporates social studies – he was learning about Scotland and was tasked in making shortbread. They turned out delicious and rather addictive too. We had them with earl grey tea but coffee and hot cocoa would also pair quite nicely, especially now for the these colder winter months.
